Unless you love flying insects called "mosca" {flies}, bring plenty of FLY-Traps with you. Home Depot has a big selection. One is non-toxic. The rest may be a problem getting through customs. To me it was worth the risk, because I HATE flies. Ecuadorians haven't a clue when you ask about fly-traps. They sell a electronic zapper that looks like a badminton racquet. You can sit all day and not catch all the flies.Let a trap do it for you.
