Baños Ecuador Hotels

Check out the Baños Ecuador hotels I've stayed in.

On a recent trip to Baños we tried two different hotels. My review of these hotels, plus a few that we checked out while there, appear below.

I'm not too hard to please when it comes to hotels. All I'm really looking for is a clean, quiet room that is worth what I'm paying. Free breakfast and no charge for kids is a plus.

When deciding where to stay in Baños, my mom remembered staying here years ago. So we decided to go with what we knew. Hostal Plantas y Blanco offers dorm rooms or private rooms with your own bathroom.

Pros:

The rooms were very clean and roomy.

The shower was hot with good water pressure.

Computer with Internet was available for free. Free Wi-Fi.

The staff was very friendly.

Small children are free.

Breakfast was also great. It wasn't included in the price. The rooftop views from the terrace cafe were amazing.

Cons:

The hotel was quite full...it is very popular. So there was quite a bit of noise during the night.

Sheets were scratchy.

Shower curtain wasn't big enough for the shower, so after 4 showers the bathroom doubled as a pool.

No TV (not a big deal to me, but maybe to some).

After a night on a budget, we decided to try something a step up. We found the Marques on a quiet, dead end street (right next to the Posada del Arte).

Pros:

The rooms were very clean and big.

There were nice balconies with views.

Cable TV.

Great hot water and water pressure.

Free continental breakfast.

Shared computer with free Internet. Free Wi-Fi.

Friendly staff.

Very quiet; all you hear is the waterfall (until 8 am).

Cons:

A little out of the way, but nothing is really far in Baños.

Hot water wasn't ready for 45 minutes

We checked out this hotel, because of all the great reviews I've read. It was beautiful. Lots of color, but not over the top. Breakfast is included. Free Wi-Fi. If you want a place to relax and enjoy your surroundings this is the place. It was a little out of our price range. They do charge for kids.

Update! During my dad's visit we did stay here. It was great!

Clean, comfortable rooms.

Great water pressure in the shower.

And breakfast...breakfast was amazing!(see photos below) Even if you don't stay at the Posada del Arte come down for the breakfast. Definitely worth it!

This beautiful colonial home has beautiful gardens and open space. There are hammocks and an open air sitting area. Rooms are big and simple. Cable TV.
