We have a winner!
Congrats to Rita S. our March Photo Contest Winner.
I didn't receive enough photos for an April contest so we've changed up the contest a bit. The contest is still open and going. Now instead of monthly or even bi-monthly we are going to put every three photos received into their own contest. So once I have three photos the voting will begin and continue for 30 days.
Photo winners will still be eligible for the end of year prize.
Have a great photo?

Ecuador Bathrooms
As mentioned last month, we had visitors in early March. But instead of some out of the ordinary experience (they had little time in Tena, so we did the typical Misahualli day trip) I was inspired to write a different kind of page.
About bathrooms???? Yes about bathrooms. I guess I've become so used to bathrooms in Ecuador that I've kind of forgotten how different they really are. And having friends who had never been here before really put that in perspective.
So here it is....
all you need to know about public toilets, showers and toilet paper in Ecuador.
Americans in Ecuador
Many wonder if Ecuadorians are rude to Americans. The truth is Ecuador is welcoming to people from all over the world. But we want it to stay that way.
Here are a few tips to assure a pleasant experience for all.
La Ronda, Quito
One of Quito's oldest and most famous streets is La Ronda. Built next to a small creek centuries ago this street has been restored to all it's colonial glory.
See our photos of our walk through La Ronda.
Photos of Baños Ecuador
I was probably inspired by the Photo Contest Winner to put this up. Here is a collection of photos my family and I have taken while in Baños. Enjoy.

Next time....the thermal pools of Papallacta!
Until next time... Jess
